Go Deaf Missions operates under the auspices of Baptist International Outreach, a ministry of Dr. Richard Vick. Dr. Vick and his wife Joyce served as missionaries to the Deaf in Africa for many years. Their ministry and school for the deaf in Ethiopia are still running and have branched out into other countries. Declining health forced Dr. Vick to return from Africa and he opened B.I.O. in 1985 as a sending agency for missionaries. Baptist International Outreach has approximately twenty-five missionaries concentrated on deaf missions as well as other missionaries. Joyce’s Kids is an extension of B.I.O. where individuals can support deaf or blind children in Christian schools overseas.
