Jesus commanded his disciples, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Yet, only in select countries have the Deaf been evangelized with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Were all the Deaf of the world gathered into a single nation, the Southern Baptist Convention reports they would make up the third largest unreached nation of our world, however, the Deaf are scattered across the globe, sometimes congregated in small pockets in large cities, and sometimes solitary in tiny villages of tribal peoples. The World Health Organization estimates there are over 360,000,000 people disabled by deafness in the world population. Christian researchers estimate only a meager two percent of those culturally Deaf have been reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ .
